Resize a photo or signature to the pixel size and file size (KB) an application form asks for.
How it works
Choose an image, set the width, height and maximum size in KB, then press Resize. The image is processed on your device and nothing is uploaded.
Example
A form asking for a 200 x 230 px photo under 50 KB: enter 200, 230 and 50, resize, then download the JPG.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Resizing happens in your browser. Your image never leaves your device.
Why is the file still too large?
Try smaller dimensions. Very detailed images need a lower pixel size to fit a small KB limit.
Which format does it create?
A JPG file, which most application portals accept.
Typical size requirements
Every portal sets its own limits. A photo is often asked at roughly 20–50 KB and a signature at 10–20 KB, in JPG or JPEG format, with a pixel size or aspect ratio given in the instructions. Always follow the numbers in your own notification, because exams differ.
How to get a good result
- Start with a clear, well-lit original. A very small or blurred original cannot be fixed by resizing.
- Crop the image so your face fills most of the frame, with a plain light background.
- For a signature, sign with a dark pen on white paper and scan or photograph it straight on.
- If the file is still too large, lower the quality a little or reduce the dimensions slightly.
Privacy
The resizing runs in your browser. Your image is not uploaded to our server by this tool.
Common mistakes
- Stretching the image to fit exact dimensions, which distorts the face.
- Saving in a format that the portal does not accept.
- Uploading a signature in capital letters when the form asks for your usual signature.
