Keep track of the papers you need before you start a scholarship, government job or admission application.
How it works
Choose the type of application and tick each document as you arrange it. The counter shows how many are ready.
Example
For a scholarship you may need a photo, signature, Aadhaar, marksheets, income certificate, bank passbook and an admission proof.
Frequently asked questions
Is this list complete?
It covers common documents. Your notification may require more or fewer, so always check it.
Is my progress saved?
No. The checklist works on the page and is not stored on our servers.
Where do I get certificates like income or caste?
These are issued by the competent authority in your state, often through a state e-service portal.
Documents most applications ask for
- Identity and address: Aadhaar, PAN, voter ID, passport or driving licence.
- Education: class 10 and 12 mark sheets, degree and provisional certificates, transfer or leaving certificate.
- Category and income: caste certificate, non-creamy layer certificate, income certificate, domicile certificate, and disability certificate where applicable.
- Photographs and signature: recent passport-size photo and a scanned signature. Use our photo and signature resizer to meet size limits.
- Bank details: account number, IFSC and a passbook or cancelled cheque for scholarships paid by direct transfer.
Before you upload
- Check the accepted file formats and size limits in the instructions.
- Make sure scans are clear, not cropped, and the name matches your other documents.
- Certificates such as income and caste often have validity limits, so check dates.
Why it helps
Missing or expired documents are a common reason for rejected applications. Getting certificates issued can take days or weeks, so check early. For scholarship-specific lists, see our NSP scholarship guide and SC, ST and OBC scholarship guide.
